Keller's Birthday!!

We are so blessed to have Keller in our lives. Here's a recap of his birthday! We went in Thursday evening (7-7-11) to start the induction. I had planned on trying to go through labor naturally but that pitocin stuff is not to be messed with. I ended up having an epidural and all was good.

By Friday at around 9:00 things were ready to get going. I pushed for a little over an hour and Keller entered our world, screaming.



The doctor was surprised at his size. At one point on of the nurses said 10, 11. I thought oh my goodness! He weighs 10 pounds 11 ounces! No, that was the time he was born. He weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces, 22 inches long. Still a healthy boy. I was such a sureal feeling. Coby was sure I would cry when he was born but I didn't. I think I was in such shock and on an endorphin high. After they got him cleaned up Coby and I were able to spend a few minutes with him and I was able to feed him.

The nurses were amazing!!

Then the welcoming comittee came in to meet and greet Keller.





By the time everyone left it was after midnight. We were moved into our post partum room around 3:00 a.m. and ended up resting pretty well.
This all sounds short and sweet and really it was. We were very lucky to have a smooth and uneventful delivery.
What an amazing experience is all was, and to think it was just the begining;)
